Obsidian is officially available for adoption! She came to us from the city shelter with a pelvic fracture – an injury often caused by cruelty or being hit by a car. We learned that she had been thrown from a window before being brought to the shelter.
Her recovery was touch and go. She needed a skilled staff member to manually empty her bladder three times a day. The day she started peeing on her own was a very exciting day for us, because it meant she had hit a huge milestone in her recovery.
She was on cage rest for a long time (way too long, in her mind!), and she is so thrilled to be out and about. This girl is affectionate, chatty, and playful. We love her so much.
This cat would prefer to be adopted alone and be the only cat in the home.
