About

MEET PHILIP – Watch my video!Philip was surrendered to us because his family could no longer care for him. Although Philip prefers a quiet environment, he’s doing quite well here at our Dedham shelter – he’s been curious about coming to the front when we visit, especially if food is involved. With just a little encouragement, Philip leans in to pets and purrs. He also really likes catnip and rolls around like a goober if you give him some (watch his video!). As far as we know, Philip has not previously lived with other animals or kids, and he tends to hide with loud noises and visitors (that’s pretty standard cat behavior!). Also like a lot of cats, we are told that Philip likes heights! So if you’ve got a sunny windowsill, bookshelf or cat tree that this handsome boy can perch on, he will be your bestie forever!Philip is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and seen by our vet team. For more information on Philip or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements.Philip acting silly with catnip!
